The Green TeamMerced, a program of the Greater Merced Chamber of Commerce introduces its’ newest program, the “Buy Local, Buy Green” campaign to optimize the procurement of green products and services in Merced County. In addition, the Buy Local, Buy Green campaign will also emphasis the retention, expansion an attraction of our local jobs by advocating for the use of local products, services and businesses. When buying local and buying green, businesses and residents will help the environment by reducing carbon emissions by purchasing or using products that are home grown, right here in Merced County, thus reducing the need to have products transported into the region. It also supports local jobs and tax bases so to stimulate our local economy.
